Lisa Eason is a Certified Social Worker and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, where she received the Legacy Award. This award recognized her for outstanding achievement and commitment to Social Work practice. Lisa obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Lisa has over 27 years of experience working with children and families, having spent most of her career with the Department for Community Based Services. While working with DCBS, she had various roles working with the foster care system, providing ongoing services to children and families, and supervising staff. As a result, Lisa has experience with people from diverse backgrounds. Lisa is also an adjunct professor with Campbellsville University, where she teaches Bachelor's and Master level courses. Lisa believes in joint healing and an honest and caring approach without judgment. She cooperatively assists her clients in clarifying their goals for treatment. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, Lisa draws from various methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. She is warm, open, encouraging, and direct as a therapist. She considers herself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.
