During the spring, fall, and summer breaks from school, Bluegrass offers the Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program (TRP) for school-aged children. If your child is having difficulty with anger, not getting along with adults or other kids, has a learning disability, or other issues, then this program might be a good fit for your child.
Parents do not have to drive their children. We offer transportation to the program and back home every day. We also provide breakfast and lunch for the kids.
A trained therapist will lead therapeutic interventions (activities to help kids learn) with the group. Kids will spend time with other kids their own age while learning and having fun!
Each day, the kids will be in groups where they will learn:
-Talk to each other respectfully
-Get along with their parents and teachers
-Deal with anger
-Deal with worry
-Deal with sadness
-Take turns during activities
-Use their words better
-Use personal space
-Reduce physical aggression (hitting, shoving, fighting)
TRP is held in a safe and friendly environment. Multiple trained professionals and qualified aids will be there to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
Children must meet certain criteria in order to participate.
If you are interested in the program, please speak with your therapist, case manager, or call the office at 270-696-3181.
