Kim Davis, CSW received her BSW and MSW from Campbellsville University almost 10 years ago. She has experienced working with many different mental health populations. She has worked in a hospital crisis unit, substance abuse treatment facility and in medical clinics,. Kim was also the director of a homeless shelter for three years, where she feels she obtained more information and education about communication and behaviors than she could ever be taught.
She is currently working on her dissertation for her PhD in psychology, in which the primary focus will be on coping mechanisms and life satisfaction of those with addiction during the first 30 days of recovery.
Kim specialize in depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems with a main emphasis on those with substance abuse issues. She has always worked well with various populations because she is able to empathize with her clients as well be an active listener. Her main goals as a therapist is to show her clients their hidden strengths and talents so their self image can be restored or raised to a higher level.
